Hearing Test

There are 3 types of hearing loss, conductive, sensorineural, and mixed.  Conductive hearing loss is generally considered fixable medically or surgically by an ENT.  Sensorineural hearing loss is generally considered permanent and treated with amplification devices.  Mixed hearing loss is a combination of conductive and sensorineural hearing loss types.  A comprehensive hearing test is required to determine the type and severity of the hearing loss.
