Dr. Roy Lewis - Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Chemistry, he remained in Chapel Hill and graduated from The University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1994. Dr. Roy Lewis completed a surgical internship and his training in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Texas –Houston in 1999. He then joined Houston Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic, LLP. After twelve years, he has finally returned to North Carolina.
He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has served as a volunteer Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Texas – Houston since 1999.
Dr. Lewis practices all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, but he finds sinus and allergy management especially rewarding. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and a member of the American Rhinologic Society.
He is now a participating provider with HealthReach Community Clinic (http://www.healthreachclinic.org/ ). He has also participated in a recent medical mission trip to Guatemala with Faith in Practice (http://www.faithinpractice.org/). Team 183 - March 2008 was a wonderful experience for him and he anticipates many future trips.
Free time means family. The vast majority of his time away from the office revolves around his wife and their three wonderful children. He enjoys basketball but has become more interested in triathlons and off road adventure races. These have become quite infrequent with three young children.
